The Austin Air HealthMate HM450 is the Plus version of the HM400.  It uses the same True Medical Grade HEPA filtration but also has a more powerful blend of activated carbon, zeolite and potassium iodide to adsorb chemicals, even formaldehyde. The HealthMate HM450 effectively removes up to 99.97% of bacteria and aerosolized viruses larger than 0.3 microns and 99% of those larger than 0.1 such as coronavirus. Plus, it removes allergens, dust, pollutants, odors, germs, smoke, gases and many VOC's.  With a True Medical Grade HEPA filter and fifteen pounds of activated carbon, zeolite and impregnated potassium iodide, it can clean a space up to 1500 square feet for three to five years. Casters make it easy to move from room to room. This unit is excellent for offices, conference rooms and living quarters. All four sides are the intake. Clean air exhausts out one side. Made of steel in the U.S., ClearFlite has sold the HM450 to federal agencies since 2001. 

Filter Stages:

• STAGE 1 – Large Particle Pre-filter. Removes particles easily seen by the naked eye (dust, hair and pet dander)
• STAGE 2 – Medium Particle Pre-filter. Removes small to medium size particles (molds, spores and pollen)
• STAGE 3 – Nearly fifteen pounds of Activated Carbon, Potassium Iodide Impregnated Carbon and Zeolite. Removes Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs), formaldehyde, benzenes, chemicals, gases and odors.
• STAGE 4 – True Medical Grade HEPA. Removes 99% of all particles larger than 0.1 microns and 99.97% of all particles larger than 0.3 microns.
